Hank McGregor Triumphs; Aussies Dominate Team Event; Bartho Brothers win doubles
The Australian team singles of Jeremy Cotter and Caine Eckstein paddled hard today, adding yet more time to their lead on the final day of the four day race. In the singles, Hank McGregor won the overall race by about 7 minutes, taking line honours each day. The Barthos easily won the doubles event.
Bianca Beavitt, the 18 year old pheomenon from Cape Town completed the course well within the allotted time ro become the youngest female paddler and one of only four ever to complete the race in a single ski. Stories and photos to follow...
